What is the Chicken River MQG?

CRMQG - a group of quilters from the Las Vegas, New Mexico area who are finding their way in the modern quilting scene. Las Vegas NM is the original Las Vegas - founded in 1835. We still don't have casinos and extravagant shows but we have lots of history and of course, a wonderful local quilt shop - Threadbear.

August 2017 - Reviving the blog............  new name is Chicken River Quilt Guild which reflects our esthetic more than Chicken River Modern Quilt Guild. We still make so-called "modern" quilts but we also love traditional and everything in between  - so we've made the change and hope that is will also encourage all quilters in Las Vegas NM to join us.
