Back when we started this guild we decided to choose three fabrics from Threadbear's stash and make blocks...I think we were able to add up to 4 additional fabrics (including background). Now we've collected them and this week we spent time arranging them into a quilt layout.....this is the result. Imagine how much fun we had deciding the best way to arrange them. I have enough trouble by myself, there were 5 of us with opinions. But we did get 'er done and now Betty, thanks Betty, has volunteered to sew them together. No one has come forth yet to volunteer to quilt the thing! But first things first.
Our next meeting will be in September and by then they'll be ready for quilting. Coincidentally, we are going to have an evening meeting and practice free-motion quilting. Plus have a potluck supper.....Can't get much better than that....food and fabric...two reasons for living!!
We also had a pot-holder exchange....everyone was to make a potholder and then we drew names and got the ph that that person had made. Ann and Linda had not finished theirs, and drew each others names which was perfect. The ones that finished were rewarded with finished projects.
